Food for thought đź§

Keep on moving…

Here at @caffeyole, it isn’t just about cooking and cleaning up our planet, it’s also about keeping our bodies healthy so that we can do all the things we enjoy doing.

Do you know, we can have fun doing most all things to stay active?

If I can give you one gift, the one thing I know will enhance your already happy-to-be-alive self is: exercise is the best medicine:

***Brain and Body***

Whether you’re outside running/walking/hiking or at the gym or at home cooking/reading/streaming, you can find a way to move—I call it: ***Creative Exercise***

Being sedentary is enemy number one when it comes to our health: Both physical and mental health.

So how can we keep moving without feeling unnecessary pressure or angst? Here is what I say and do:

1- Set reminders on your smart devices to get you moving every 55 minutes.

2- Turn up the volume on favorite tunes whilst cooking, cleaning the house, gardening.

3- Strategically place hand weights/bands/kettle bells/a bounce ball (small/large) near where you do daily routine things, like cooking—so yes, in your kitchen—watch tv/stream, use the computer.

Think about it my friends, one doesn’t have to do much out of the ordinary to keep moving, to fit a bit of exercise into our day/night to help our hardworking bodies and brain to stay healthy, get healthier.

This may sound cliché but here it goes because it works. Cliché or not. When we visualize the habit, the thing we want to incorporate into our lives, then at a given point, this visualization will manifest into the thing we wanted to make into a habit.

When I was fourteen years old, I came up with this quote: the magic of time…

I learned then that it takes time to get to that point you aspire to.

Corny perhaps but no matter, we are the ones living our lives. This is our life, here today. So get to it!

You are all awesome in one way or another. Cheers to you.

Until the next time.
