Because of the pandemic, this race has been changed and shorten by approximately 100 miles. And from what I understand, it’s going to be a to and back versus going from a start to a finish line due to the pandemic.οΏΌ
Last year’s winner had to hang back in Alaska for a couple of months if not longer due to the corona virus. This year, most of the friendly stops along the almost 1000 miles have been rerouted away from the villages to keep everyone safe.
Strange times us humans are living in….
Cheers to all of the mushers and their dogs on a rough long harsh race ahead.
